Job Title: NAMER Customer Engineer Representative I
Location: Montreal/Quebec Region
You Are:
A skilled communicator who excels at building strong relationships with customers, resolving problems proactively, and ensuring customers have what they need when they need it. You are also proficient in working with products such as ATMs, PCs, and POS systems.
This role is perfect for you if you enjoy problem-solving, are organized and effective in your time management, and know when to seek support. As an NCR Customer Engineer Representative I (CE I), you will represent the NCR Voyix brand, troubleshoot at a basic module level, plan and organize your time efficiently, and know when to turn to your team for assistance. When faced with technical issues, you will apply your manual skills to resolve problems.
This role is exciting because you will be part of a team that helps make life easier for people around the world through over 550 million transactions every day. Our clients include restaurants, shops, banks, and airports, who come to us for software, hardware, and services. Your skills will ensure we can assist them in the ways they need it most.
You Can Expect To:
- Be responsible for basic installation, maintenance, and repairs on equipment within an assigned territory, ensuring customer satisfaction and compliance with Service Level Agreements.
- Use your manual skills to perform work on products like ATMs, POS systems, kiosks, single pocket proof encoders, and workstations.
- Assist in site preparation, including installation of cable, staging of equipment, and minor testing of equipment.
- Be a guardian of all NCR assets used in the delivery of customer services, maintaining stellar records and an appropriate parts inventory.
- Capture customer information to complete invoicing and stay in contact to provide the best possible service.
People Describe You As:
- A problem-solver who anticipates and resolves issues before they arise. You are a superstar at performing periodic preventative maintenance.
- Driven to tackle any situation, but also confident enough to ask for help when needed. You know when to pull in the right associate, team member, or territory manager for support.
- A stickler for record-keeping, logging customer calls and activity, and tracking expenses incurred in the delivery of services.
You Have:
- A High School diploma or equivalent.
- A valid provincial license and a clean driver's record.
- Canadian citizenship or permanent residency – company sponsorship is not available.
- A valid passport for travel to the US for training.
- Up to a year of related experience, with previous experience in NCR or similar equipment a plus.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Windows XP, and Windows 2000.
- Amazing flexibility and a positive attitude, with the ability to work nights, weekends, overtime, flex shifts, and be on call to keep customers happy.
- Your team in mind, even when working solo.
- A strong back, as this role requires prolonged travel, rotating shifts, carrying and lifting tools and parts weighing up to 50 lbs, and bending, squatting, walking, standing, and/or sitting for prolonged periods.
P.S.
- Before taking this position, you will need to complete NCR-specific certification based on business/territory needs and assigned LOBs as determined by a manager.
