About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Mechanic to join our team at Duret et Landry Inc. as a key member of our maintenance and repair team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Inspection and Testing: Conduct thorough inspections and tests of electrical and mechanical equipment to identify potential issues and ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair complex electrical and mechanical systems, including electric motors, transformers, switchgear, and generators.
  • Component Replacement and Maintenance: Replace or recondition shafts, bearings, commutators, and other components as needed to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
  • On-Site Servicing and Repair: Provide on-site servicing and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.
  • Quality Control: Test and repair or replace faulty wiring or components in electrical switchgear to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently.
  • Performance Testing: Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance and functionality.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: The Electrical Mechanic will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent exposure to electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Physical Demands: The role requires physical stamina, manual dexterity, and the ability to work in a variety of environments, including confined spaces.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant training and experience are essential.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical and mechanical systems maintenance and repair is required.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and clients.
