Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Asset Management Director to lead our estimating team and drive business growth.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in pre-construction estimating and a proven track record of delivering high-quality cost estimates and bid proposals.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for setting strategic objectives and goals for the estimating department, collaborating with other departments to ensure alignment and synergy, and developing accurate and competitive bid proposals and presentations.

You will also be responsible for staying abreast of the latest industry trends and advancements in estimating software and technology, and implementing and leveraging advanced estimating software tools and platforms to streamline the estimating process, improve accuracy, and enhance productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the estimating team and provide guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
  2. Develop and implement strategic objectives and goals for the estimating department.
  3. Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment and synergy in project execution.
  4. Develop accurate and competitive bid proposals and presentations.
  5. Stay abreast of the latest industry trends and advancements in estimating software and technology.
  6. Implement and leverage advanced estimating software tools and platforms to streamline the estimating process, improve accuracy, and enhance productivity.
  7. Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) and other digital technologies to extract relevant data for quantity takeoffs and cost estimation.
Requirements:
  1. 8+ years progressive pre-construction experience in estimating roles.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. University degree, college diploma, trades background, or equivalent experience.
  4. Professional Engineer designation is an asset.
  5. Proficiency in reading and understanding construction drawings and documents.
  6. Strong knowledge of job cost fundamentals for typical items and scopes where design or schematics have been provided.
  7. Demonstrated proficiency in computer software, particularly MS Excel and Word.
  8. Experience with estimating software.
  9. Proven organizational skills, with the ability to effectively manage time and formulate plans to meet multiple deadlines within a high-pressure work environment.
  10. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  11. Possession of a valid driver's license and willingness to travel as required.
  12. Adaptability to a flexible work schedule when necessary to meet deadlines.
