Job Summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a skilled Mold Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine preventive maintenance on all production tools, including molds, to ensure optimal performance and extend their lifespan.
  • Mold Repair: Repair molds as required, utilizing welding and machining techniques to restore them to their original condition.
  • Work Order Management: Oversee all work orders related to molds, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • SMED Changes: Manage all SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Dies) changes to production molds, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
  • Inventory Management: Organize and maintain inventory of mold parts, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and that parts are easily accessible when needed.
  • Mold Changes and Reporting: Oversee all mold changes and generate reports on mold performance, downtime, and other relevant metrics.
  • Team Leadership: Direct fellow team members in their daily workload, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Vendor Communication: Work with tooling vendors to repair and maintain molds, ensuring that all necessary parts and materials are obtained in a timely manner.
  • Safety and Quality: Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety rules and procedures, and working closely with the Quality department to ensure that all products meet our high standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance-related position within a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Skills: Ability to interpret documents such as procedure manuals, blueprints, schematics, charts, diagrams, etc. Ability to use precision measuring devices, including amp meters, electric meters, and hydraulic gauges. Basic understanding of systems, equipment, and schematics. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Good troubleshooting skills. Basic mathematical skills used to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and use decimals and fractions. Ability to perform work in a mature and professional manner, demonstrate personal responsibility, and perform all assigned duties.
