About the RoleThis is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to work with individuals with neurodiverse conditions, such as Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). You will be responsible for creating and implementing therapeutic programming, providing daily living support, and advocating for our residents' needs.
Key Responsibilities- Provide on-site, client-centered programming and support
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including hygiene, meal preparation, and room safety checks
- Implement therapeutic programming, including life skills training and personal development
- Advocate for residents' needs and provide support in crisis situations
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement individualized plans
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Sociology, Social Work, Child and Youth Worker)
- Experience working with individuals with complex needs, particularly those with neurodiverse conditions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Competitive hourly rate ($23.00-$26.00)
