Staff Psychologist Position

Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical supervision to students in their practicum training and as part of formal coursework
- Deliver direct services to clients, including assessment and intervention
- Monitor and evaluate student performance, providing feedback and guidance as needed
- Supervise junior faculty prior to registration, ensuring they meet the necessary standards
- Ensure clinic services adhere to provincial and national standards, maintaining high-quality care for our clients
- Generate and manage clinic referrals, building relationships with third-party organizations
- Keep accurate and timely records of clinical service provision, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Provide didactics as part of clinical seminars or, under special circumstances, teach formal coursework
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from a CPA-accredited program or an APA-accredited program
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
- Authorized Practice Endorsement (APE) within the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
- Training and/or supervised experience in providing clinical supervision
- Experience with administrative and organizational duties involved in managing a clinical practice, including generating and managing referrals, forming and maintaining relationships with relevant third parties
- Experience working with a variety of populations and presenting concerns, including children and adolescents
- Ability to provide evidence-based psychological services, including supervision, assessment, and intervention
- Strong communication and management skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
The University of Saskatchewan offers a comprehensive benefits package, including dental, health, vision, pension, life insurance, disability, sick time, an employee assistance program, a professional spending allowance, and a flexible health and wellness spending program. This position starts at four weeks of vacation plus additional paid days off during the holiday season and covers professional registration and insurance costs. Benefits would be pro-rated for part-time appointments if applicable.
