About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Worker to join our team at Sun Circle Greenhouses Inc. as a Greenhouse Horticulturist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the health and productivity of our greenhouse crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Crop Maintenance: Clean the crops, cut horticultural crops, and remove manually all suckers and water sprouts.
  • Greenhouse Operations: Assist in pruning trees, shrubs, and plants, and plant bulbs and seeds.
  • Pest and Disease Management: Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides, and report signs of insect or disease damage.
  • Watering and Irrigation: Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
  • Work Area Maintenance: Clean work area and assist in greenhouse cleaning.
Work Environment

As a Greenhouse Horticulturist, you will work in a fast-paced greenhouse environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels. You will be required to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.

Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, and bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Language: English.
