Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Support Specialist to join our team at Charhdikala Media Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and troubleshoot LANs, WANs, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
  • Provide problem-solving services to network users
  • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
  • Perform routine network start-up and close-down and maintain control records
  • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
  • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
  • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software and optimize server performance
  • Modify Web pages, applets, and scripts
  • Research and apply meta-data to Websites and register Websites with search engines
  • Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers
  • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations
  • Supervise technical staff
Requirements
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in network administration
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong knowledge of networking software and hardware
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
