General Internist

We are seeking a skilled General Internist to join our team at Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre. As a key member of our Department of Medicine, you will be responsible for managing complex inpatients and providing high-quality patient care.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in internal medicine and be proficient in managing busy inpatient and outpatient services. You will also be expected to prioritize health authority-based hospital work and be involved in the management of consultation services, general internal medicine ward services, and rapid access clinics.
As a teaching hospital affiliated with UBC, you will have opportunities to participate in bedside and/or didactic teaching of medical students, internal medicine residents, and family practice residents. Academic appointment will be through UBC.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage complex inpatients and provide high-quality patient care
- Participate in the management of consultation services, general internal medicine ward services, and rapid access clinics
- Be involved in bedside and/or didactic teaching of medical students, internal medicine residents, and family practice residents
- Prioritize health authority-based hospital work

Abbotsford Regional Hospital and Cancer Centre is a 272-bed hospital offering medical, surgical, obstetrics, inpatient pediatrics, renal, cardiology, tertiary palliative care, helipad, and 24/7 emergency services with 79,289 visits annually.

Qualifications and Credentials
Eligibility for Full License with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC), FRCPC, or FRCPC Eligible.
