About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Dining Room Server to join our team at Canton Garden Restaurant. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a memorable dining experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food and Beverage Service
    • Prepare and serve specialty food and beverages to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
    • Present menus and make recommendations to guests, answering questions and providing information about our menu offerings.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
    • Ensure that all guests feel welcome and valued, making recommendations and offering suggestions to enhance their dining experience.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure seamless service and efficient communication.
    • Participate in pre-service meetings and communicate effectively with the team to ensure a smooth and successful service.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a high level of energy and enthusiasm throughout the service.
    • Stand for extended periods, moving quickly and efficiently to meet the needs of our guests.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience
    • Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is an asset.
  • Personal Qualities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
    • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
