Toronto Unionized Benefits Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Administrator to join our client's dynamic team in Toronto, ON. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for administering benefits applications, claims, and group plans in a timely and accurate manner.
The ideal candidate will possess 3+ years of experience in benefit administration or related legal experience, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Strong technical skills, including Excel tracking/reports, Word, Outlook, and benefits/claims systems experience, are also required.
This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your expertise to a unionized setting and work with policy and claims as part of the position. Our client offers a competitive compensation package with confirmed increases at 6 months and 12 months, alongside health/medical benefits, assets of being part of the union, and more.
Key responsibilities include:
- Administering new applications, claims, estate benefits, and group plans in a quick and accurate manner
- Responding to questions, inquiries, and concerns from employees regarding coverage, claims, and more
- Handling appeals from insureds in a timely and detailed manner
- Researching information to ensure accurate details are provided to and from employees/providers
- Tracking, verifying, updating, and documenting premiums, leaves, claims, requests, invoices, etc.
- Reconciling files and accounts on various reporting trackers
