The IMPACT lab at Concordia University is seeking a highly qualified postdoctoral fellow to contribute to the development of novel machine learning algorithms for registration of point clouds and tracking surgical tools.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement novel machine learning algorithms for point cloud registration and surgical tool tracking
- Collaborate with the research team to develop and test new algorithms
- Contribute to the development of research papers and presentations
- PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Biomedical Engineering
- Excellent background in one of the following areas: image-guided interventions, computer vision, machine learning, deep learning, or image processing
- Proven academic track record of publications in one of the above fields
The IMPACT lab is directed by Dr. H. Rivaz, an Associate Professor and Research Chair in Medical Imaging with Deep Learning. The lab is committed to developing novel medical image analysis techniques to improve healthcare.
Fellowship DetailsThe fellowship is for 2 years, with a one-year contract that can be extended for an additional year. The successful candidate will have access to a state-of-the-art NVIDIA A100 server and several imaging equipment.
