Internal Audit Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Audit Director to join our team at BMO Financial Group.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for leading IT Cyber Audit engagements, critically assessing management and internal control processes, and providing insightful audit reports that identify potential issues and risks.
This role provides vital assurance to the Board of Directors and senior management, ensuring the quality of the internal control system and reducing the risk of loss and reputational damage to the Company.
Key Responsibilities- Lead IT Cyber Audit engagements, assessing management and internal control processes
- Provide insightful audit reports that identify potential issues and risks
- Develop and implement audit plans to ensure effective risk management
- Collaborate with senior management and the Board to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Identify and evaluate the impact of new and emerging technology on the organization's processes and control environment
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and internal control best practices
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in IT audit or technology-focused cyber security
- A post-secondary degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Deep knowledge and technical proficiency in IT audit and cyber security
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
