About the Role
We're seeking a self-motivated Technical Leader who's obsessed with delivering value, forward-thinking, and excited to see the successful implementation of products, frameworks, and patterns delivered.
This role offers you the opportunity to lead multi-functional engineering teams dedicated to building and supporting Insurance Technology systems, redesigning and building client-facing technology systems in support of our Insurance and Affinity business in Canada, and assisting squads with Tier 2 and 3 support under the application criticality framework.
Your Responsibilities
You'll employ re-usable and extensible frameworks, reference implementations, and patterns to build new functionality and deliver on key product objectives. You'll also maintain and support these services, with accountability for production reliability and usage, and the delivery of new functionality.
What We Offer
A competitive salary, between $107,730.00 CAD and $200,070.00 CAD annually, based on location, plus a wide array of customizable benefits, including health, dental, mental health, vision, short- and long-term disability, life and AD&D insurance coverage, adoption/surrogacy and wellness benefits, and employee/family assistance plans.

Required Skills and Qualifications
You'll bring a deep, hands-on background in modern software development and practices, and have experience leading teams or large-scale programs, with a preference for Financial or Insurance industry experience.
Strong project management skills, agile and DevOps principles, test-driven development, continuous integration, and other approaches to accelerate the delivery of new features are essential.
You'll also be passionate about developing engineers and growing staff within the organization, experimenting with emerging technologies, and understanding how they'll impact what comes next.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities will enable you to manage through creative abrasion, and strong verbal and written communication skills will allow you to effectively articulate and communicate technical vision, possibilities, and outcomes across all levels in the organization.
