Job Summary

Impact Staffing Inc. is seeking a skilled Garbage Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our waste management team, you will be responsible for operating various vehicles and equipment to collect and transport waste to designated facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation: Safely operate garbage trucks and other equipment to collect and transport waste.
  • Route Management: Plan and manage routes to ensure efficient waste collection and minimize delays.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to residents and businesses, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional manner.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications: DZ class license and Air Brake (Z) Endorsement are required.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) and work in a physically demanding environment is required.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: The work environment is hot, with odours and wet/damp conditions.
  • Work Setting: The work setting is varied, with multiple locations.
