About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our team at the British Columbia Investment Management Corporation. As a key member of our organization, you will have the opportunity to work in either our Victoria or Vancouver office, collaborating with top professionals while contributing to the growth and success of one of Canada's largest institutional investors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical delivery and ongoing enhancement of the ServiceNow platform within an Agile delivery team, following a regular sprint cadence.
  • Drive technical requirements for assigned platform capabilities and supporting technologies, serving as the technical subject matter expert (SME).
  • Create platform maturity roadmaps, aligning with business objectives and technical needs, while identifying opportunities for standardization, automation, and optimization.
  • Design, configure, and maintain platform capabilities, services, and environments in accordance with platform maturity roadmaps and best practices.
  • Manage project delivery and develop technical documentation, ensuring compliance with internal technology governance standards.
  • Establish and enforce platform standards and guidelines based on industry best practices, communicates expectations to technical teams, and ensures adherence to established protocols.
  • Participate in procurement processes, including developing and evaluating Requests for Proposals, and oversee the performance of external resources.
  • Proactively detect risks and issues, offer solutions to overcome barriers, and deliver advanced levels of platform administration, troubleshooting, and remediation support.
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Encourage knowledge sharing through internal technical communities and resources, promoting a collaborative, team-based culture.
  • Apply Agile methodologies and drive continuous improvement in delivery performance through reporting, backlog development, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
