Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Park Place Montessori Daycare.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children. This role requires a strong ability to lead activities, encourage creativity, and guide children in their daily routines.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs tailored to meet the needs of children aged 0-12 years
  • Lead activities such as storytelling, singing, and educational outings to local points of interest
  • Encourage children to express themselves creatively through art, music, and physical activity
  • Guide children in developing good eating, dressing, and toilet habits
  • Monitor children's progress and report any concerns to parents or guardians
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems affecting children
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment for children, including planning and organizing activities before and after regular school hours
Certifications and Qualifications
  • Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate
Work Environment
  • This is a physically demanding role requiring repetitive tasks, manual dexterity, and attention to detail
  • The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking
Personal Suitability
  • Punctuality and reliability are essential qualities for this role
  • The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Flexibility and teamwork are also key requirements
Benefits

$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. 30-40 hours per week.
