KPH Healthcare Services seeks a detail-oriented and organized Pharmacy Medication Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

  • Overview:
    • Work under direct supervision and accurately fill medication orders in a fast-paced pharmacy environment.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Count, seal, and label prescription cards with accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Pull drugs and match NDC to prescription labels, ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of medication orders.
    • Return inventory to its proper place, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
    • Assist in the upkeep and cleanliness of each workstation and the facility, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety.
    • Responsible for the proper and accurate filling of each individual order, prioritizing patient care and satisfaction.
    • Maintain reasonable production levels as determined by supervisors, ensuring efficient workflow and minimizing downtime.
    • Responsible for maintaining all quality assurances as given, upholding the highest standards of quality and patient safety.
    • Assist in keeping adequate stocking levels, anticipating and meeting customer demand.
    • Must have knowledge of RX computer systems, utilizing technology to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
    • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs, staying up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
    • Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the pharmacy team.

Qualifications:

  • Attendance Requirements:
    • Must be able to work nights and weekends as required, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
    • Must be available and on-time for scheduled work shifts, prioritizing punctuality and reliability.
  • Educational Requirements:
    • Minimum: High School Diploma or GED, demonstrating a solid foundation in education and learning.
    • Preferred: AS Degree or Higher in Business Administration or related field, showcasing advanced knowledge and skills.
  • Experience:
    • Preferred hospital or retail pharmacy experience, highlighting expertise and familiarity with pharmacy operations.
  • Special Conditions of Employment:
    • Drug test, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
    • Initial and continuous exclusion and sanction/disciplinary monitoring, upholding integrity and professionalism.
    • Any additional eligibility requirements based on the specific position, ensuring compliance and adherence.
  • Job Skill Requirements:
    • Strong communication skills, effectively interacting with colleagues, patients, and customers.
    • Excellent organization skills, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
    • Outstanding customer service skills, delivering exceptional care and support.
