The Medical Filling Expert will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medication, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in patient care. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a commitment to quality and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Medication Preparation:
    1. Count, label, and package medication according to established protocols and procedures.
    2. Verify medication accuracy and completeness, checking against prescriptions and patient records.
    3. Prepare and maintain patient profiles, updating information as necessary.
  2. Inventory Management:
    1. Restock and replenish inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimal waste.
    2. Monitor and report any discrepancies or issues with inventory, supply chain, or logistics.
  3. Quality Assurance:
    1. Maintain accurate and complete records of medication preparation, dispensing, and storage.
    2. Participate in regular quality assurance audits and inspections, identifying areas for improvement.
  4. Customer Service:
    1. Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to patient inquiries and concerns.
    2. Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, patients, and families, addressing their needs and preferences.

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent, demonstrating basic education and skills.
    • AS Degree or higher in Pharmacy Technology or related field, showcasing specialized knowledge and expertise.
  • Experience:
    • 1-2 years of experience in pharmacy settings, preferably in a hospital or clinical environment.
  • Certifications/Licenses:
    • Current certification in pharmacy technology, such as PTCB (PTCB) or ExCPT.
