Oncology Nurse Specialist Opportunity
BC Cancer is seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to oncology patients, including assessment, intervention, symptom management, and treatment coordination.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications, injections, blood products, and IV fluids as required by the care plan.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including nursing assessments, telephone communications, and care evaluations.
- Admit, transfer, or discharge patients according to BC Cancer policies and Centre directives.
Requirements:
- Graduation from an approved School of Nursing with current practicing registration as an RN with the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
- Current CPR (Level C) certification.
- One (1) year of recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
