We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team at Red Deer Volkswagen. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with commercial transport trucks.
Key Responsibilities:- Diagnose and repair issues with commercial transport truck systems, including engines, transmissions, and brakes.
- Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
- Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
- Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit.
- Discuss work with supervisor and provide estimates for repairs.
- Perform scheduled maintenance service and test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
- Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
- Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
- Coach and instruct apprentices.
- Provide customer service and ensure a positive experience for our customers.
- 5 years or more of experience as an Automotive Technician.
- Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification and Red Seal Certificate.
- Specialized environmental skills and knowledge.
- Fast-paced environment and ability to work independently.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service.
