Empower Clients to Thrive in Their Homes as a Community Health Worker

Interior Health Authority seeks a dedicated and compassionate Community Health Worker to collaborate with Nurses and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in providing exceptional home health care services. Your role will be instrumental in supporting clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and well-being within the comfort of their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and oral hygiene.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy home environment by completing essential household tasks.
  • Prepare nutritious meals according to individual dietary plans.
  • Offer support with mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety and comfort.
  • Maintain vigilance in observing any changes in client behavior or condition, promptly reporting observations to the appropriate healthcare team.
  • Execute delegated tasks accurately and efficiently, adhering to established protocols and training guidelines.

About This Opportunity:

This is a part-time relief position (0.87 FTE) offering a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals within our community. The shifts for this role rotate between days and evenings, with working hours from 07:00 to 15:30 and 16:00 to 22:00.
