Job Summary
Northern Health Authority is seeking a skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing distribution pharmacy services, interpreting medication orders, and ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret medication orders and assess prescriptions for therapeutic suitability
- Ensure medications are efficiently and accurately dispensed and/or compounded and labelled
- Communicate with physicians, patients, and other healthcare team members for prescription clarification and problem resolution
- Participate in the collection of data for medication use evaluation projects and implementation of dispensary-based medication safety initiatives
Requirements
- Current license of the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia
- Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged
- At least one year of related work in a hospital pharmacy, desirable
