Assistant Food Services Manager Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Food Services Manager to join our team at Schlegel Villages. As a key member of our Long-Term Care Team, you will be responsible for leading and supporting our food services team to deliver exceptional hospitality services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support the food services team to maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the Food Service Manager to ensure that diet and nutritional requirements are met and regular assessments are completed.
  • Plan and support catering functions in the Village, creating an enhanced dining experience for our residents.
  • Manage purchasing, department schedules, and payroll duties.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in large quantity food preparation and food purchasing.
  • Experience leading and inspiring a large food services team.
  • Familiarity with Ontario Food Premises Regulation, CCHSA, Ontario Long Term Care Facility Program manual, Long Term Care Homes Act, and OH&S Act.
  • Active membership in the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (C.S.N.M.).
