Job Title: Maintenance Worker - Residential Facilities

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Lanark Lifestyles Retirement Residence.

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the upkeep of our residential facilities. This includes operating industrial vacuum cleaners, emptying trash cans, making minor repairs to heating and cooling systems, and performing other routine maintenance jobs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps and debris
  • Empty trash cans and waste containers
  • Make minor repairs to heating and cooling systems
  • Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a maintenance role
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Flexibility and initiative
  • Reliability and organized
Work Environment:

The Maintenance Worker will work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision. This role requires the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Demands:
  • Physically demanding
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling

Note: This job description is for a permanent, full-time position. The hours of work are 30 to 44 hours per week. The language of work is English.
