Job Title: Powerline Technician Foreman

Forbes Bros. Group of Companies is seeking a qualified Powerline Technician Foreman to support upcoming projects in the Edmonton, Alberta region.

Job Summary:

The Powerline Technician Foreman is responsible for providing guidance and support to a crew, focusing on safety, quality, and productivity. The primary focus is to act as a working Foreman, demonstrating and mentoring crew members on proper work methods to complete assigned tasks safely and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure proper working conditions and conduct inspections as required.
  • Manage materials and meet set deadlines and timelines.
  • Provide supervision and planning for the successful completion of Distribution projects.
  • Direct and participate in day-to-day work activities as a working Foreman to ensure established goals and objectives are met.
  • Perform audits of construction operations to ensure work is being completed in compliance with project specifications and monitor safe work practices.
Requirements:
  • Journeyman Powerline Technician Trade Certificate required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in the powerline trade.
  • Previous leadership experience as a Lead Hand or Foreman is required.
  • English proficiency with the ability to read, comprehend, and execute written work plans, blueprints, and writing schematics.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to direct a team to efficiently and effectively complete jobs within deadlines.
