Job Summary: Infection Control Specialists play a vital role in preventing and controlling infections within healthcare settings through policy development and education. This position requires a strong understanding of infection prevention protocols, monitoring of infection rates, and collaboration with public health agencies and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement evidence-based infection prevention protocols.
  • Monitor infection rates and investigate outbreaks in collaboration with public health agencies.
  • Educate healthcare staff on infection control practices and provide guidance on best practices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure effective infection control measures are in place.
  • Stay updated on guidelines and best practices for infection control through ongoing education and training.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or a related field; certification in infection control (CIC) preferred.
  • Experience in infection control or epidemiology, with a strong understanding of infection prevention protocols.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate and analyze infection outbreaks.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with the ability to educate and collaborate with healthcare staff.
