We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Live-in Caretaker to join our team at 5562814 Manitoba Ltd. As a key member of our maintenance and housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our apartment/condominium complex and hotel/motel/resort setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment for residents and guests.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse from common areas.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers regularly to prevent odors and pests.
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and visually appealing environment.
  • Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Advertise vacancy and assist with the recruitment process.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment.
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Perform safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of residents and guests.
  • Show apartments and offices to prospective tenants and provide tours of the property.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Work with minimal supervision and take initiative to complete tasks and projects.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas during winter months.
Requirements

  • Initiative to take on additional responsibilities and tasks.

  • Reliability and a commitment to meeting deadlines and expectations.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Up to 9 kg (20 lbs) of weight handling capacity.
