Cardiac Care Specialist

North York General Hospital (NYGH) is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Care team. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients with cardiac conditions, working collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with cardiac conditions, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Conduct cardiac device interrogations and programming, as well as assist with implantable cardiac device procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to cardiac care.
- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac device interrogation and programming, or telemetry experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in the interrogation, testing, and programming of implantable cardiac devices.
- Previous experience in a cardiac device clinic, cath lab, or cardiac device implantation lab is an asset.
- Expertise in comprehensive cardiac nursing assessment.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and Advanced Cardiac Life Support certifications.
- Coronary Care 1 & 2 and Critical Care Certificate are preferred.
