Nurse Practitioner

As a Nurse Practitioner with Vancouver Coastal Health, you will be working in the dynamic environment of the Emergency Department. Your expertise and compassion will make a real difference in people's lives every day.
We are seeking skilled Nurse Practitioners who thrive in fast-paced environments, excel in critical thinking, and are committed to delivering high-quality care to patients in their most vulnerable moments. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals, utilize advanced clinical skills, and provide comprehensive care to a variety of diverse patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive assessment of patients and clients, including diagnosing diseases, disorders, and conditions.
- Initiate treatment, including healthcare management, therapeutic interventions, and prescribing medications in accordance with statutory and regulatory standards.
- Provide professional guidance to other health professionals and participate autonomously as a member of the interdisciplinary health teams.
- Collaborate with clients and other health professionals to identify and assess trends and patterns that have implications for clients, families, and communities.
Qualifications:
- Current registration as a Nurse Practitioner with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Four (4) years of recent, and relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Successful completion of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) required.
