Job Title: Rigger - Telecommunications

We are seeking a skilled Rigger - Telecommunications to join our team at Erivan-Gecom Inc. in a permanent position.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting trunking systems, installing and maintaining aerial and underground telephone equipment, testing equipment to locate transmission faults, and completing and maintaining test and service reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect trunking systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Install and maintain aerial and underground telephone equipment, including coaxial lines, fibre optics, and copper
  • Test equipment to locate transmission faults and determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble
  • Complete and maintain test and service reports to document work completed
  • Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures to access equipment
  • Splice, join, and connect wires to ensure reliable communication
  • Repair or replace defective telephone equipment to minimize downtime
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of experience in telecommunications or a related field
  • Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Ability to distinguish between colours and work in a fast-paced environment
