Demi Chef de Partie

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Demi Chef de Partie to join our team at Great Canadian Entertainment. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for the execution of menu item production, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and contributing to a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to a high standard, following standardized recipes and procedures.
- Assist with food preparation, including mise en place, and ensure that all kitchen equipment is clean and well-maintained.
- Receive and store stock, labeling and dating items as required.
- Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a professional manner.
- Work effectively with other kitchen team members to achieve high standards of quality and service.
- Participate in culinary meetings and contribute to the development of new menu items and kitchen procedures.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and report any incidents or near-misses to management.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary education an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of culinary experience, with a focus on Asian cuisine.
- Wok experience and Red Seal certification through ITA or current enrollment in the program an asset.
- Food Safety Certification and ability to obtain a Criminal Record Check.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
Work Environment
This is a fast-paced kitchen environment, requiring standing and walking for long periods of time. Non-traditional work hours may be required.
