Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $75,000 - $90,000 CAD, depending on experience. The company also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including bonus opportunities, free parking, transportation provided by employer, travel insurance, and permanent full-time work with 35 to 40 hours per week.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Rural Development Officer to join our team in implementing effective strategies for rural development projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing policies that support sustainable rural development;
  • Performing administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our projects;
  • Planning and executing development projects that cater to the needs of local communities;
  • Identifying and developing venture capital sources to support our initiatives;
  • Recruiting and hiring staff to join our team;
  • Conducting surveys and analyzing data on consumer behavior and preferences;
  • Reviewing and evaluating commercial or industrial development proposals;
  • Maintaining databases of potential franchisees, real estate locations, and online marketplaces;
  • Developing marketing strategies to promote our projects and services;
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant business licenses and regulations;
  • Delivering presentations at conferences and workshops to share our expertise;
  • Developing and implementing business plans to achieve our objectives;

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field;
  • At least 5 years of experience in rural development or a related field;
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, MS Office, and database management;
  • Experience working in urban and rural areas, with a focus on business and industry development;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in your work;
  • Reliability, client focus, and teamwork skills;
