Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pediatrician to join our team at West Coast General Hospital in Port Alberni. As a Pediatrician, you will provide high-quality care to pediatric patients and residents of First Nations communities in the region.

About the Role

This is a permanent specialty position in the Maternity Care & Pediatrics department. The successful candidate will work in a modern, well-equipped 75-bed community hospital with 24-hour emergency room services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care to pediatric patients and residents of First Nations communities
  • Work collaboratively with a collegial group of two full-time Pediatricians
  • Participate in a full complement of Family Physicians and specialist colleagues
Benefits
  • May be eligible for a $10,000 Recruitment Incentive
  • Up to a maximum of $15,000 Relocation Reimbursement
  • 8.88 Annual Flat Fee Retention Payment
  • Annual Rural CME of $3,000 in years 3 & 4 and $6,000 after 4 years

Requirements
  • FRCPC or FRCPC eligible
  • Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
