Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Pediatrician to join our team at West Coast General Hospital in Port Alberni. As a Pediatrician, you will provide high-quality care to pediatric patients and residents of First Nations communities in the region.

About the Role

This is a permanent specialty position in the Maternity Care & Pediatrics department. The successful candidate will work in a collegial environment with two full-time Pediatricians and have access to a wide range of medical services and specialists.

  • $8,867.88 Annual Flat Fee Retention Payment
  • Annual Rural CME of $3,000 in years 3 & 4 and $6,000 after 4 years
Community Information

Port Alberni is a beautiful waterfront city with a moderate climate and plenty of outdoor recreational opportunities. The city is situated at the end of Vancouver Island's longest inlet and is within commuting distance to larger urban centers.

Requirements
  • FRCPC or FRCPC eligible
  • Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC
