Job Summary

Modern Niagara is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Plumbing Foreperson to lead and support the day-to-day operations of our field teams. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing project mechanical system installations, managing a field team with a focus on safety, and facilitating a site work culture that leads to productivity and worker engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Execution: Plan and lead the execution of project mechanical system installations to a high level of productivity.
  • Team Management: Manage a field team with a focus on safety, ensuring that all team members are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Site Culture: Facilitate a site work culture that leads to productivity and worker engagement, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Coordination: Coordinate installations with other trades, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion of projects.
  • Customer Service: Focus on maintaining a high level of customer service, ensuring that client needs are met and exceeded.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order tools and materials as required to maintain the productive flow of installations and stay ahead of schedule.
  • Labour Planning: Create, track, and execute a project labour plan, ensuring that all necessary resources are allocated effectively.
  • Additional Duties: Perform work-related duties as required to support the team and ensure project success.
Requirements
  • Experience: Three to five years of experience as a plumbing foreperson, with a strong background in mechanical system installations.
  • Certifications: Red Seal plumbing ticket required, with local 488 membership preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to prioritize and schedule work, and excellent organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge: Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schematics, with knowledge of IPC in healthcare facilities an asset.
