About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Veterinarian to join our Veterinary Services team in Laval. This is an exciting opportunity to work with laboratory animals and contribute to the health and well-being of our community.

Job Summary

In this role, you will be responsible for providing optimal medical care, diagnosis, and treatments as per accepted veterinary practices. You will also provide professional expertise for guidance on procedures and techniques involving animals, review and optimize animal monitoring and SOPs related to animal care, and participate in our animal ethic committee to evaluate all procedures performed on animals before studies begin.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide optimal medical care, diagnosis, and treatments as per accepted veterinary practices
  • Provide professional expertise for guidance on procedures and techniques involving animals
  • Review and optimize animal monitoring and SOPs related to animal care
  • Participate in our animal ethic committee to evaluate all procedures performed on animals before studies begin
Requirements
  • Good observation skills
  • Able to work physically (lift up to 20 kg, walk, stand, stoop, etc.)
  • Understanding of written English is mandatory. Bilingualism French and English is preferable
  • Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine
  • Valid OMVQ licence
