The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Electrician to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As an Industrial Electrician, you will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance and repairs on our industrial equipment and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on industrial equipment and systems
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical control systems and other related devices
  • Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic, ethernet, and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components
  • Ensure all job-related operations follow GMPs, HACCP, WHMIS, and health & safety requirements
  • Collaborate with automation engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems
  • Operate production equipment and evaluate performance as required
  • Perform predictive and preventative maintenance routines
  • Update maintenance records and perform quality control checks
Requirements:
  • Red Seal Certification (Ontario Electrician license) with proven industrial field experience (3 years or greater preferred)
  • Knowledge of electrical design, techniques, and tools applied in electronic and electrical applications
  • Experience in pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Ability to collaborate with automation engineers
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team-based environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Availability for weekend overtime as production/maintenance demands require
