Job Summary

Randstad Canada is seeking a highly skilled Financial Manager to oversee the daily accounting activities of our client, a quintessential manufacturing company. As a key member of the accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the full cycle of AP and AR is completed on a timely basis. This includes managing a small team of 4 clerks and ensuring compliance with all accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements.

Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily accounting activities, including managing a small team of 4 clerks
• Ensure timely closure of the month-end procedures
• Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts, tracking performance against established financial goals
• Ensure compliance with all accounting standards, tax regulations, and legal requirements
• Manage all audits, both internal and external, as well as the preparation of the corporate income tax return
• Ensure GST/TVQ, State Sales taxes, and income tax installments are reported and paid within prescribed deadlines

Qualifications
• CPA or graduate-level education in accounting
• 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
• Bilingual (fr-Eng)
• Having worked with an ERP (Oracle, SAP, Dynamics, etc.)
• Strong Excel skills are a must, and Power BI is an asset
