Granite Cutter

We are seeking a skilled Granite Cutter to join our team at GALAXY GRANITE LTD. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for cutting and polishing granite and other stone materials to exact specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Operate Blade or Wire Saws: Safely operate blade or wire saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions, ensuring accurate cuts and minimal waste.
- Grinding and Polishing: Operate machines to grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs, or other stone products to specific shape or design, producing a smooth finish.
- Maintenance and Adjustments: Perform ongoing machine adjustments to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Drilling and Dressing: Operate machines to drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications, and operate a stone-dressing lathe to sharpen and dress grindstones.
- Manual Dexterity: Possess excellent manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to handle various tools and equipment.
- Work Term and Hours: This is a permanent position, working 35 hours per week.
- Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
