Nuclear Engineering Director

At CO_30 TC1 Bird Industrial Management Services Ltd., we are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Engineering Director to lead our nuclear engineering projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing and managing the engineering aspects of large-scale developments.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and manage the engineering aspects of large-scale developments
- Lead and oversee all aspects of nuclear engineering projects
- Develop comprehensive engineering plans tailored to the unique requirements of nuclear projects
- Manage the tendering and construction stages of nuclear projects
- Collaborate closely with nuclear regulatory authorities and bodies
- Implement and enforce rigorous quality control measures
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate nuclear engineering considerations
- Facilitate strategy sessions and project start-up meetings
- Organize and direct preconstruction activities
- Work closely with the estimation team to prepare accurate project estimates
- Optimize resource allocation to prioritize safety, quality, and profitability
- Select and oversee subcontractors with expertise in nuclear engineering
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Lead negotiations and execution of prime contracts
- Manage project budgets and monitor progress
- Proactively address issues and resolve challenges specific to nuclear engineering projects
- Maintain compliance with nuclear safety, security, and environmental standards
- Conduct regular project team meetings to coordinate resources and ensure alignment with nuclear project objectives
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Engineering degree or equivalent experience in a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in nuclear engineering or related fields
- Demonstrated success in delivering nuclear engineering projects with a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance
- Expertise in nuclear engineering principles, regulations, and industry best practices
- Proven ability to manage complex nuclear projects from conception to completion
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to mentor and influence team members
- Adaptability to thrive in a dynamic nuclear project environment
- Dedication to recruiting, training, and retaining top talent within the nuclear engineering field
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Proficiency in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
