Director of Nuclear Engineering

Bird Construction is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Engineering Director to lead our team in delivering complex nuclear projects. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of nuclear engineering projects, ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and budgetary constraints.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and oversee all aspects of nuclear engineering projects, including cost projections and project timelines.
- Develop comprehensive engineering plans tailored to the unique requirements of nuclear projects.
- Manage the tendering and construction stages of nuclear projects, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines.
- Implement and enforce rigorous quality control measures specific to nuclear projects, including security protocols and radiation safety procedures.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors within the nuclear industry.
- Lead negotiations and execution of prime contracts for nuclear projects, emphasizing safety, sustainability, collaboration, and integrity.
- Manage project budgets, monitor progress, identify variances, and implement corrective measures to prevent cost overruns in nuclear projects.
- Proactively address issues and resolve challenges specific to nuclear engineering projects to ensure smooth project execution.
- Bachelor's Engineering degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in nuclear engineering or related fields.
- Demonstrated success in delivering nuclear engineering projects with a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
- Expertise in nuclear engineering principles, regulations, and industry best practices.
