Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Coordinator to join our team at ANTHILL CONSTRUCTION LTD. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for a highly organized individual who can effectively coordinate and supervise construction projects.

About the Role

The Construction Project Coordinator will be responsible for preparing production reports, supervising workers and projects, coordinating and scheduling activities, recruiting and hiring workers, training personnel, estimating costs and materials, and requisitioning or ordering materials, equipment, and supplies. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to instruct and direct individuals.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare production reports to track project progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Supervise workers on-site to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Coordinate and schedule activities with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
  • Recruit and hire qualified workers to fill open positions, and conduct related staffing actions.
  • Train or arrange for training of new employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Estimate costs and materials required for each project, and ensure that expenses are within budget.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support project requirements.
  • Lead and instruct individuals on the job site, providing guidance and direction as needed.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a construction-related field.
  • Degree from a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to instruct and direct others.
  • Ability to estimate costs and materials, and manage expenses within budget.
  • Familiarity with construction regulations and safety protocols.
