About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Barrie's Special Care Homes. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Personal Care: Assist residents with bathing, dressing, and grooming, ensuring their personal hygiene needs are met.
  • Medication Administration: Safely administer medications to residents as prescribed by their healthcare providers.
  • Companionship: Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging them in activities and conversations to promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
  • Household Duties: Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation to maintain a clean and comfortable living environment.
  • Transportation: Safely transport residents to appointments and outings, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
Work Environment

You will be required to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the needs of our residents.
