Job Title: Truck Driver - Route Optimization Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver - Route Optimization Specialist to join our team at Jade Xpress. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for planning and adjusting routes to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions. You will also be responsible for arranging travel, making reservations, and loading and unloading goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices.
  • Arrange travel, related itineraries, and make reservations.
  • Load and unload goods.
  • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes.
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle.
  • Perform preventive maintenance.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
  • Deliver goods to customers.

Requirements:

  • AZ class license.
  • Ability to work independently.
