We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Site Superintendent to join our team at Sault Ste. Marie. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the activities of construction teams, including laborers, tradespeople, and subcontractors.
- Develop and implement project schedules, budgets, and quality control plans.
- Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to resolve design and construction issues.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of project progress, including daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and opportunities for improvement.
- Supervise and train construction staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in construction supervision, preferably in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other construction software.
