Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Lead Staff: Oversee the daily activities of sales staff, including cashiers, retail salespersons, and sales clerks, to ensure excellent customer service and efficient sales processes.
- Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Effectively allocate tasks and responsibilities to sales staff to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop sales staff to meet the needs of our retail business.
- Authorize Payments and Merchandise: Manage financial transactions, including authorizing payments by cheque, and oversee the ordering and return of merchandise.
- Establish Work Schedules: Create and manage work schedules to ensure adequate staffing levels and meet business needs.
- Sell Merchandise: Provide excellent customer service and sell merchandise to meet sales targets.
- Prepare Reports: Analyze sales data and prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters to inform business decisions.
- Resolve Issues: Effectively resolve customer complaints, supply shortages, and other issues that may arise in the retail environment.
- Organize and Maintain Inventory: Oversee the organization and maintenance of inventory to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient stockroom operations.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced retail environment with tight deadlines and will be required to handle heavy loads, work under pressure, and maintain attention to detail.
Requirements- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail environment.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
