Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is between $40,460 and $46,531, based on a 0.50 FTE and hourly rates of $20.09 to $23.99.

 

Job Description

As a Unit Assistant with Shared Health, you will act as a member of the healthcare team, assisting with patient care and providing basic supportive care as directed. Under the general supervision of the Manager, Health Services, RN, RPN, and/or LPN, you will demonstrate a commitment to the vision, values, goals, and objectives of the region/facility/unit.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • You must have previous patient care experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • A minimum grade 10 education, meeting Manitoba standards, is required.
  • You must have successfully completed a recognized Health Care Aide course.
  • You should have an excellent command of the English language, both oral and written.
  • Preferring candidates will be those who are competent in an Indigenous language or have knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.
