About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic Apprentice to join our team at Vaughan Metal Polishing Limited. As an Industrial Mechanic Apprentice, you will be responsible for assembling, repairing, and maintaining mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Fabrication: Assemble mechanical equipment, including machining and fabricating parts as required.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in mechanical equipment, and repair or replace defective parts as needed.
  • Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for repairs and maintenance, and plan work accordingly.
  • Maintenance and Operations: Perform routine maintenance work on machinery, and operate hoisting and lifting equipment as required.
  • Installation and Setup: Install and set up new machinery and equipment, and ensure that all equipment is properly calibrated and functioning correctly.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Noisy work site environment.
  • Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
