Job Summary

Halton Healthcare is seeking a skilled Social Worker to provide comprehensive assessment and treatment services for children, adolescents, and transitional aged youth with mental illness disorders. The ideal candidate will possess a Master of Social Work (child focus) and have a minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for clients
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, including CBT, DBT, and Solution Focused Therapy
  • Collaborate with treatment providers, schools, and community organizations to advocate for clients
  • Maintain current information on community resources and linkages with relevant social service agencies
  • Conduct crisis intervention and provide support to clients and their families
Requirements
  • Master of Social Work (child focus) required
  • Membership in OCSWSSW required
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of clinical experience in child and adolescent mental health
  • Strong clinical skills, including assessment, counseling, and discharge planning
  • Knowledge of CBT, DBT, and Solution Focused Therapy preferred
  • Strong family therapist background
  • Crisis intervention skills
  • Group experience with this population
  • Commitment to professional development
  • Ability to document according to college standards
